Peninsula has embarked on a major initiative to allow diaspora across the United States and Europe to tell their stories through the medium of television.

Our first heritage series Across the Water: A Television History of Irish America will present a comprehensive history of the Irish-American experience told by those who have experienced it.  and significant political figures and commentators from Ireland and the United States. The programs will feature significant figures from the Irish- American community and major international political and cultural personalities.

The series and a broader media project associated with it will be completed  to coincide with the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026.

It will chart the definitive history of the Irish in the United States and the extraordinary contribution made by Irish-Americans to the development of American culture, politics and society. Across the Water: A Television History of Irish America is the first of its kind in the 21st Century and will, significantly, recognize the key role played by Irish-Americans in the Northern Ireland peace process.
